NOTICE - CORONAVIRUS (COVID-19)
We are currently working in a different way to help our patients. We have a number of options available, to ensure we continue to provide you with the highest quality healthcare.
As a patient, you will be offered a telephone consultation with a clinician in the first instance. These can be booked by telephone or online. After assessment, if the matter cannot be dealt with over the telephone, we can offer a video consultation, texting in a photograph or, where examination is required, a face-to-face appointment. We also offer online consultations.
Many of your health needs can be dealt with by telephone. We are now also able to text or email sick notes and we can send blood test request forms electronically to your chosen phlebotomy clinic, thus minimising the handling of paperwork.
If you are asked to attend the surgery, we kindly ask that you wear a face covering. This does not need to be a clinical face mask and can easily be made at home: https:www/gov.uk/government/publications/how-to-wear-and-make-a-cloth-face-covering
Our waiting room chairs have been spaced to incorporate the recommended government distance and covered with a disposable chair cover, which we will ask you to remove when leaving your seat. A limited number of patients will be allowed in the surgery at any one time (you may therefore be asked to wait in your car until your clinician collects you).
We have a designated area where you can take your own blood pressure with our electronic monitor (arm, hand covering and antibacterial hand gel is provided).
We continue to provide appointments for childhood immunisations, cervical smears, dressings, vaccinations and treatment room procedures.
All of our staff are wearing personal protective equipment (PPE) appropriate to their role and time between appointments has been allocated to ensure all treatment rooms/areas are thoroughly cleaned between patients, in accordance with nhs infection control guidelines, for your safety and protection.
Please order your prescription online and nominate a pharmacy to collect your medication from - this means we can send your prescription electronically to your pharmacy of choice.

GP Extended Access
Parklands Surgery is working closely with the other surgeries in East Northants to provide patients with access to general practice outside of core hours. We have set up an East Northants Hub, based at Harborough Field Surgery. For further information, please click the link to the right.
If you wish to contact us for your test results please call between 2-5pm, or you can view your results anytime if you are registered for our Online Access Service.
Parklands Patient Forum
