Clinics & Services

We run a range of clinics. For an appointment or further details please ring 01933 396000. 

Asthma - asthma sufferers can obtain advice and support from our Practice Nurses who specialise in asthma care.

Blood Tests - we do not have a Phlebotomy service at Parklands, but arrangements have been made for you to attend the Nene Park or Isebrook Clinics. Please use the online booking system or call 01536 494411 (between 0930-1500).

Ear Suction - our Practice Nurse Kirsty provides this service.

Childhood Immunisations - our Practice Nurses provide the childhood immunisation sessions.

Chlamydia - chlamydia screening services are provided by our Practice Nurses.

COPD - COPD sufferers can obtain advice and support from our Practice Nurses who specialise in COPD care.

Counselling - please make an appointment to see  doctoryour doctor if you wish to be referred for counselling.

Diabetes - our specialist Practice Nurses provide advice and general health check-ups to patients with diabetes.

District Nurses - we can refer patients who are housebound or discharged from hospital requiring nursing care to our team of District Nurses. These Nurses are employed by NHFT.

Family Planning - at Parklands we provide contraceptive services.

Minor Injuries - we provide a minor injury service for conditions that can not be self managed but do not require attendance at Accident and Emergency.

Minor Surgery - minor operations can be done in the Treatment Room. Please discuss this with your doctor who will then arrange for you to be given an appointment.

Other Facilities - at Parklands we provide a variety of other services including ECG, Doppler and 24 hour blood pressure monitoring.

Stopping Smoking - Please ask at reception for further information.

Family Planning

We provide a full range of family planning services including coils; caps and implanon. Please ask at reception for an appointment (which will be subject to availability at the time, given current pressures and demands on the Practice).

We are now offering our patients coil and contraceptive implant services with Dr Mistry. If you are interested, please contact our reception team on 01933 396000 to book a preliminary consultation.

Health checks

A general health check are available as follows:

NHS Health check

  • aged 40-74 (no other conditions, every 5 years)
  • Well Woman
  • Well Man
  • aged 75 and over (who has not seen a GP in the last year)

General checks will be carried out as follows:

Blood pressure, blood tests (as appropriate), Height and Weight, Lifestyle advice, Tetanus status.

Travel Vaccinations

If you're planning to travel outside the UK, you may need to be vaccinated against some of the serious diseases found in other parts of the world.
